A three-year-old boy was stabbed to death by a stranger in a random attack outside an Ohio supermarket, authorities say.
Bionca Ellis, 32, has been charged with the aggravated murder of Julian Wood, three, on Monday in the Cleveland suburb of North Olmsted.
The attack took place as Julian and his mother, Margot Wood, returned to their car after shopping at a Giant Eagle supermarket. Moments earlier surveillance video captured a woman identified as Ellis wandering around the supermarket wielding a knife.
“[She] walked over to Giant Eagle, where she was on their cameras, spotted Mrs Wood and her son, and then proceeded to follow them out to the parking lot. Somewhere near their vehicle, Mrs Ellis then attacked the two of them,” Detective Sergeant
