CLEVELAND, Ohio — Various road construction projects will bring changing driving conditions for commuters in Northeast Ohio over the next few weeks.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has released a list of upcoming detours for Cuyahoga County and other areas of Northeast Ohio. Several involve ongoing projects on Interstate 480, while the Akron Beltway reconstruction continues to divert traffic.

I-480 between West 139th Street and Idlewood Drive: There will be off-peak lane restrictions for resurfacing beginning Monday and continuing through September 2024.

I-480 between Brookpark Road and Broadview Road: There will be various lane restrictions beginning Wednesday and they will continue through October for barrier wall and drainage improvements.

Ohio 237 between Baker Street and Bagley Road: Ohio 237 will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning Monday until October for resurfacing.

Conte Drive at Carol Jean Boulevard: Conte Drive will be closed April 9 through late April for resurfacing.

Ohio 87 just east of Hillbrook Lane: Ohio 87 in Russell Township will be reduced to one lane maintained by a temporary traffic signal beginning Monday and continuing through early August for a culvert replacement.

Hubbard Road just north and south of U.S. 20: Hubbard Road in Madison Township will have various lane restrictions and traffic pattern shifts beginning Monday until late April for pavement work.

Ohio 59: Beginning April 10, Ohio 59 between the western and eastern Ravenna corporation limits will have various lane restrictions for resurfacing until July 2024.

Akron Beltway reconstruction: From 10 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, the following closures will be in place for bridge beam placement:

Interstate 76 eastbound/I-77 southbound at V. Odom Boulevard: The detour is I-76/Kenmore Leg to I-277 eastbound to I-77.

I-77 northbound/Ohio 8 northbound at the Central Interchange: The detour is to I-76 eastbound to Arlington Road/ Kelly Avenue (exit 24) to I-76 westbound to Ohio 8 northbound.

Ramp from I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound: The detour is I-77 northbound to I-76 eastbound to Arlington Road / Kelly Avenue (exit 24) to I-76 westbound.

Lakeshore Boulevard: On Monday, Lakeshore Boulevard under I-76 will be closed until noon April 5 for bridge beam placement. The detour for Lakeshore Boulevard southbound is Russell Avenue to Manchester Road to South Street. The detour for Lakeshore Boulevard northbound is South Street to Princeton Street to Russell Avenue.

I-77 northbound/Ohio 8 northbound at the Central Interchange: This section will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday for structural steel painting. The detour is I-76 eastbound to Arlington Road/Kelly Avenue (exit 24) to I-76 westbound to Ohio 8 northbound.

Ramp from I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound: The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday for structural steel painting. The detour is I-76 eastbound to Arlington Road/Kelly Avenue (exit 24) to I-76 westbound.
