Penguins Open Horizon League Play at Cleveland State

The Penguins, who won the outright league title last year, beat the Vikings 5-2 in the regular season before winning 4-3 in the Horizon League finals. This will be YSU's first match at Cleveland State since March 31, 2018. CSU enters the game with an 8-8 overall record, while YSU is 3-11. This is the first time the Penguins have played on the road this year.

The Penguins went 6-0 last year in Horizon League play to win the outright league title. YSU beat the Vikings by a 5-2 margin in the regular season before winning a 4-3 decision in the Horizon League finals in Michigan.
CSU enters the contest with an 8-8 overall record while the Guins are 3-11. YSU owns home victories over Duquesne, Bowling Green and Duquesne this season.
This is YSU's first contest at Cleveland State since March 31, 2018. The Penguins won that contest by a 7-0 margin.
The Penguins play their first three Horizon League contests on the road this year. Last year, the Guins played five of six in Youngstown.
