Guardians set 2024 Opening Day roster
The Cleveland Guardians 26-man Opening Day roster is set. The Guardians have set their 2024 Opening Day roster with the contracts of Carlos Carrasco and Tyler Beede from AAA Columbus. The team also placed several players on the 15-day Injured List, including Ben Lively, Xzavion Curry, Gavin Williams, and San Hentges. The roster includes 12 players acquired via the MLB Draft, seven through trades, six free agents, and one via waivers.

The Guardians selected the contracts of RHP Carlos Carrasco and RHP Tyler Beede from AAA Columbus.
The team also placed RHP Ben Lively (viral illness), RHP Xzavion Curry (viral illness), RHP Gavin Williams (right elbow inflammation) and LHP San Hentges (left middle finger inflammation) on the 15-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25.
INF Angel Martínez placed on the 10-day Injured List (right foot contusion, retro. 3/25).
RHP James Karinchak (right shoulder inflammation) and RHP Trevor Stephan (right elbow surgery) placed on the 60-day Injured List.
The Guardians roster consists of 12 players acquired via the MLB Draft, seven through trades, six free agents (3 amateur, 3 Major/Minor) and one via waivers.
