CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Guardians made a flurry of transactions to officially set the 2024 Major League roster for Opening Day.

The Guardians selected the contracts of pitchers Carlos Carrasco and Tyler Beede from Triple-A Columbus.

The team also placed the following pitchers on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to March 25:

Infielder Angel Martínez was placed on the 10-day Injured List with a right foot contusion.

Pitchers James Karinchak (right shoulder inflammation) and Trevor Stephan (right elbow surgery) were placed on the 60-day Injured List. Stephan will miss the entire 2024 season.

The Guardians will open the season Thursday night in Oakland. The first pitch is slated for 10:07 p.m.
