Robinson was thrown from his motorcycle after it hit the back of a pickup Truck and he was transported to Aultman Hospital where he was pronounced pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured. Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the accident, which is being investigated by the Stark County Sheriff's Office.

CLEVELAND — Stark County authorities are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Plain Township that left an Akron man dead Saturday night.

According to a news release from the Stark County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 10:38 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 77 northbound near mile marker 109. Police say 37-year-old Christopher Robinson was thrown from his motorcycle after it hit the back of a pickup truck.

Robinson was transported to Aultman Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash, police said.

Investigators believe alcohol was "a factor" in the incident.
