AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - It’s time to wear blue for free admission at the Akron Zoo!

The Akron Zoo is partnering with Summit County Children Services this April in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The Wear Blue Day initiative on April 10 aims to “help raise awareness about the importance of child abuse and neglect prevention,” the Akron Zoo stated.

Summit County Children Services will be at the Akron Zoo throughout the day with activities, the zoo said, and free popcorn will be available in the Komodo Kingdom Café while supplies last.

Visitors who wear blue to the zoo will receive free admission on April 10.

Off-season hours are from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
