It's been three months since the United State ITC ruled in a unanimous decision against tariffs on foreign tin.

West Virginia U.S. Senator Joe Manchin visited Weirton on Thursday making a stop at the Form facility, which is well under construction.

Afterwards, Manchin stopped at USW Local 2911 to speak with union workers and local officials about the potential job losses from the Cleveland-Cliffs tin mill idling, which is set for April 20.

"I’m gonna get you an answer,” Manchin said. “I’m gonna find out. I'll go speak to the president next week."

Manchin stressed the importance of the United States not depending on other nations for manufacturing our goods. He highlighted the unfairness of tin dumping discussing how it creates an uneven playing field. He is confident the U.S. can compete in manufacturing with other countries, provided it's under fair conditions.
