Cavs will keep being doubted as long as they continue to give reasons for it: Chris Fedor
Despite roster changes, the Cavs continue to blow large leads and struggle with turnovers, giving critics ongoing reasons to doubt them. Cleveland Cavaliers' President of Basketball Operations, Koby Altman, has stated that the team's 2026-27 roster is more talented and dynamic than the previous year's. The roster includes Peyton Watson, Mario Hezonja, Meleek Thomas, Dean Wade, Max Strus, Dennis Schröder and Keon Ellis. However, the departures have led Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson further up the depth chart. Despite these improvements, the team has been criticized for their lack of second-half involvement and defensive lapses. Cleveland's recent season opener was similar to the Eastern Conference finals opener, where they were swept by the Nets. The team has also been criticized by fans for their defensive laps and inability to control the game.
